What is Kindland?
Presented by Cleveland, Ohio-based nonprofit Values-in-Action Foundation (VIA), Kindland is a movement dedicated to creating stronger, more connected schools, workplaces, organizations, and communities through the power of kindness.

Kindland encourages people to make kindness intentional by doing, recognizing, sharing, and celebrating acts of kindness every day. By shining a light on the goodness already happening around us, we inspire others to take action, creating a ripple effect of kindness, compassion, empathy, respect, and understanding.

At its heart, Kindland is powered by people. Every act matters, and every person has the ability to contribute to a more positive culture in their school, workplace, neighborhood, and community.
​
The goal is to create “Kind-lands” across the country, places where kindness becomes part of the culture and people feel valued, respected, supported, and connected. Together, these Kind-lands are helping build a more united and compassionate United States of Kindness.​

​About Values-in-Action Foundation

Kindland is presented by Cleveland, Ohio non-profit organizaiton, Values-in-Action Foundation (VIA). Founded in 1994 as Project Love, VIA has spent more than three decades helping young people develop the values and skills needed to create positive, respectful, and caring school communities.
​
Through its Kindland school programming, VIA has reached more than 3 million students in more than 5,000 schools across all 50 states. Today, VIA is expanding those same principles beyond the classroom, engaging individuals, businesses, organizations, and entire communities in building cultures rooted in kindness and shared values.
​
VIA’s mission is to empower students and adults to build communities of kindness, caring, and respect by providing practical programs, tools, and experiences that help people make positive, values-based decisions and put kindness into action every day.
